Hi All - Since the beginning of September a lot of Wilddoggers would have made a trip. This is a good time to add some pics of the people you have encountered !!!
As you know, we have been to Angola and now that MJ's ride report is almost done - eventually and after a lot of people have run out of patience - here are some of memorable ones of our trip. Enjoy !!
This young girl were met on the way to the Kunene, roaming around with her cattle all by herself.

On our arrival at Monte Negro at the Kunene River, we had a couple of cold ones with the local police. I just could not resist the temptation to test the power of such a big guy - it turns out that even after giving it my best, he still was not noticing me hanging onto his arm.

Down at the river, we got some incredible footage of what life-forms hangs around at the Kunene !

I just have to post these two family pictures of Michnus en MJ ...............

Jose and Jose, our friends from Lubango. These good, friendly and loving people were supposed to be our enemies a couple of years back. What a privilledge to have met them and what blessing that they have survived !!!

After entertaining us for the whole evening and after a lot of Ngola's, we got down to some serious reflections of the past and what could have been.

On the way back to Ruacana, we stopped at a couple of places. This pretty girl made us a very nice goat meat meal. Who would have thought it could actually taste good. We had some bad experiences on previous trips.

This was the shopkeeper.

And these were some of the youngsters who got exposed to the wonders of a digital camera.

This must be the most real cowboy in Africa, if not the world. At first he was reluctant, but MJ eventually got this awesome picture of him.

Fred Leask, from Ugie, sharing a gwaai with a local lady.

At the next rest stop, Michnus befriended himself with another thirsty fellow and shared a last cold one.

I enjoyed Angola so much, I even got myself a shirt of which I am very proud. I never thought I would love another country more than my own, but I had no choice in this matter.

Cheers....., until a next time.
Love, because life is too short !
