where to find a new or recon LC4 Motor?
« on: February 22, 2012, 06:35:19 pm »
good day all, no its not, just got the quote from a very respectable workshop to "overhaul" my motor, the total came down to a mere R22 000.00 :'( :'(

this after i payed Pro Action over R33000 collectively over 20 months period to have my bike in pristine condition.

as per the chief spanner slinger there were bolts missing inside my motor. Thanx alot Pro Action, glad you got what you deserved.

Can anyone please advise me where to get my bike overhauled or replacement engine??

very very desperate, my katoom i my only transport..

Try getting parts fro outback Ktm in amanzimtoti, they import the parts direct and don't over charge, then take it to your local dealer to repair, My son in law saved 7 grand in parts for his 250f doing it this way.

Buy another one and part it out. I need plastics for mine and maybe be the wiring loom. The front end will easily find a new owner. I think you may be surprised what people need for KTM's. As we all know it is nearly impossible to find second hand parts locally. Many of the parts are used on the 950.

yeah, i found ktm talk and then Munn racing, quite a helpful lot, gonna order my parts through them for more than half the price less than local
local parts R19 000, import R 7100 + shipping R800 and customs R 200
