The whole direction BMW are taking Husky is just going from bad to worse!

Now the BMW DAKAR revision (acknowledged as carrying more than its fair share of extra kilos) is LIGHTER than the proposed equivalent Husky - I mean WTF??????

I wish I knew what those suites in Munich were smoking, they dont seem to have a clue what to do with the company they bought, or why they bought it, and are showing all the signs of meddling to the point that it just falls apart - after which they will no doubt shrug there shoulders and walk away like a bunch of children tugging over a toy, leaving a great company and product range in bits on the floor  >:(

Offcourse the BMW will be lighter otherwise people might actually buy the Husky instead. Like Clarkson said "it's like vomiting on the Pope".

Glad i have a new 610te still in the box spare. That Italian Mama -has gotten - enormous compared to the slinky daughters in the background.

They must be dreaming of easter eggs that are hatching ???????

Ja and not from too much pasta ... think it is the Kraut sausage and beer doing it ....  ::)  and to tag the Baja nomenclature to the poor fatty is a typical BMW trick ... remember the Dakar .... (reinvented now as the Sertao)

The more I see of that Baja, the worse it looks!

BMW are going to lose a packet if the go ahead with that thing IMO!

No Husky buyer is going to consider it, and I cant really think who else might.  Its a non starter IMO.

On the urrer hand ....

The Adventuree 650 in the first post would be a GREAT replacement for the BMW Dakar - but is should be branded BMW not Husky.

They have all the ingredients for a superb line up of bikes in the palms of their hands IMO, but are pissing it all away  >:(.  They should stop messing about trying to make Husky into a "cool poser's" brand (which is what they seem to be trying to do IMO).  They should leave Husky alone and let them get on with what they are good at (designing good racing and DS bikes).  But use that knowledge to up the performance of their own GS range.  They would have the best of both worlds then.

It is indeed a sad state of affairs for Husky!
I dig the looks of the TE650A, but that unfortunately is where it stops!!
Well, I guess the sooner BMW burn their fingers and sell Husky again, the better!

Does anybody know who the old man is in the photograph? A clue; he is a rather famous enduro rider from a bygone era.
