The debate has been raging for years but I would like to hear from the experts what the pros and cons are of fitting your R1200GS/A with a 21" front wheel?
I've been thinking about it for a while and GG's thread made me ponder the question even more.
Apparent pro's:
- Better off-road handling (more tyre surface hitting the gravel at a particular point in time)
- More stability (Coriolis effect)
- You look cooler? O0
Apparent cons:
- Instability at higher speed (so I heard somewhere, why?)
- Not manufactured that way. Knock-on effect on disks, etc? I don't know?
- Cost (in excess of R10k to do the conversion?)
