I import the Wings which has become a KTM favourite. Full titanium with carbon fibre end cap R4995-00. Have a look here for more info http://www.tornadof5.co.za/WINGS%20Home.html

No pipe does a 690 justice ..... lookswise  ...... like an ACRO.....

But dam that Wings pipe looks just like the Acro with the carbon end !! AT HALF THE FARKING PRICE I PAID !!! If I had to buy again the wings will we top of my list at that price !  :thumleft: Just hope they a bit stronger than the first pipes 990 pipes you got a while back !

Interesting you mention strength the Wings are made from 0.6mm titanium vs Akrapovic who manufacture theirs using 0.5mm titanium.

TF5 ! No harm intended ! As I sed I had a bad experience with the pipes on the 990,but if you say they are thicker,Its very good news because I am sick of tired off paying out of my ears for pipes like the acro,s just because of the name that's on the side off the dam pipe.. An now just to hear they are of kakker quality than yours as well for double the price ???   :thumleft: Must say youre pipe on the 690 looks kwaai lekker !!!!!!

Nah no offense taken just thought it interesting to point out as the product has been refined quite substantially since inception years back.
Titanium is a strong material but if damamged due to a fall etc where it gets cracked it is very difficult to repair and very specialised.
Advantages are heat expulsion and of course weight compared to stainless which does not dissipate heat very well. Alu on the other hand also is hot but does suffer from longevity oxidation.

Go for the Wings , don't even think about it , performance difference is very noticable , but run the bike on the sport setting in conjunction with the pipe . :thumleft:

snapper waiting for new 690 stock on the water had a flurry where in space of 2 weeks all my 690 stock sold out.New stock coming with the silver and black logo will look really sweet.

Performance will be marked as remember you ridding the old muffler which has the very restrictive cat inside.

Here is a pic of a std ktm 990 muffler cutaway revealing lots of restrictions

If you can put in your order online that way I get all the info.

cheers

Warren
