I find some purchasers of the product do not follow the installtion and maintenance instructions for the Wings mufflers before and after installation. To avoid damage to the product on installtion and the maintenance thereof, it would be highly advisable to read the instructions supplied carefully and attached to avoid yourself expensive damage.

It may be thought that it is only a muffler, but a muffler can be affected in many ways and of course can affect your motorcycle too. Remember all mufflers regardless of brand require certain maintenance etc.
Like tyres, break pads etc...damping wool is a consumable item and is not covered under warranty and if you do not look after your muffler as mentioned you can cause damage..

The technical explanation for this is:

Bikes are originally mapped lean for two reasons:
1. emissions are lower (homologation)
2. the engine runs hotter which is beneficiary for the catalytic converter

If the owner mounts as an example a modified air filter and/or new exhaust, removes dB-killer, drives like a racer, but forgets to remap the EFI, the consequences are inevitably the destruction of the damping wool and this results in hot spots on the titanium, burnt clamp rubber and logo etc.
Damage to the titanium is resultant hot spots out and sometimes rubber from the clamp that is almost impregnated into the titanium and this is permanent. If you see any form of discolouration it is probably time to replace your damping wool!

Attached below is the pdf for installtion and maintenance instructions to keep your muffler in tip top condition, so I urge you to download it and read it.
