Nice outcome, what I have expected. One needs to stay calm when negotiating about issues like these, it helps a lot not to make unnecessary noises.

Then they fix it no problem. Whats the problem! Brilliant service isn't it??

Yamaha Warranty.. customer assumes piss poor but predictable bad service but get s excellent service >:D

What is great about being jerked around for 2 weeks. The we'll look and finally a result.

Better say we hear you let's look and resolve who pays for what when we know what the real issues are. The fact that thread started shows how he was battling being heard. The advice offered here helped move things forward.

Ultimately Yamaha came to the party. Excellent.
Now they need to go back and work out why it needed to be pushed so far before something was done.

 As I explained in my original post Yamahas  response was
1.The oil consumption was acceptable.
2.1000 km with a faulty air cleaner would not have caused damage.
3.Perhaps I don't know how to check the oil

I think referring to their respose as piss poor showed remarkable restraint from my side.
In the end they have done the right thing, so get the thumbs up from me.
