Rode yesterday, faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaking brilliant, no wind problems,( except mine) you can sit at 130 and even turn your head without wind catching the peak. I found it best to switch off the front tanks until reserve light comes on , 245 km then opened the one tank, i want to see how far i go before i open the second tank.
And the head light is super bright. Can honestly say its worth the money, and looking back if you keep reading instructions step by step and don't jump the gun the job is relatively easy. Quality at its best and every part perfectly manufactured.
In all honesty i was a bit apprehensive and thought i had wasted money, until i rode her yesterday for  350 km, and she was awesome, you not tied after the ride  (like others on bigger bikes ) and honestly say i wanted more, before i was concerned to ride a long trip in one day but that feeling has been put to rest .

Forgot to add, i bought front indicators from a bike shop for R110, brilliant and fit perfect, will put a pic up once the sticker kit has been fitted.

maybe less wind drag, not sure but when testing we went from the coast up to mid ilovo / Richmond, and port shepstone, so covered diff terrains, also had head wind for 60 odd km, before the fairing was installed i only got 220 before reserve light came on so can only think its the fairing cutting the wind instead of your chest .

The Oryx did 19-21km/l average riding. So 245 is easily possible.

I think the fairing also makes it more streamlined.

Long Bob, i find it is far better to leave both front tanks open, as the tanks (all three) drain at the same time, in other words you get even weight distribution at all times, thus not transferring weight from front to back, and vice versa. plus the tyre hugger mudguard is far better, have not battled with mud as the Rallye Raid one is quite flexible, and very easy to remove for cleaning, just need a small mod done to it before fitment.
Motorsport is the only sport, the rest are just GAMES!!
