She's home!!  :ricky:

Holy crap, was that ride home trial by fire!  :o

Fetched her at 7pm in Cape Town CBD, got out of the city on to N1 just to get stuck in the "We're going on holiday" traffic, then a roadblock checking those going on holiday. We decided to pull over at the Winelands One-Stop as the wind is PUMPING on the freeway.

Lo and behold, the place is packed with Supers going to the Swallows Rally. Bunch of chops already doing some burnouts and valve bouncing. Idiots.  :peepwall:

Only got home at 9pm but we're here and we're safe  :D

I think I should sleep in the garage tonight  :mwink:

I think this could be my old bike. Sold it to a woman in CT and she replaced the front light with something similar (the old one had my cherished Iron Butt sticker on which she threw away I think)
If so it's a great solid bike you'll be happy!

Hi Blikners

Yes, I did buy it from a lady that has stopped riding it as she is riding her streetbike most of the time. Her name is Mariette? She's giving me the old light as well tomorrow. I'll check for your sticker :)

You just made my day! Please see about my sticker!
I sold it to Mariette and she also has a streetbike, TDM I think?

Very nice!! Solid bikes thems, you're going to have a lot of fun...

Well done on  surviving the windy holiday traffic, can get hairy out there. Stick to dirt roads and you'll be more comfortable.  ;D

I do not think that dying is a good idea.
Living doing something that you love is a good idea.
Living until you die is a good idea. If living happens to kill you it means you made a mistake, but we are human, and humans make mistakes, so go for it, enjoy it, live until you die, rather than not living for your whole life.

Oh yes that reminds me, I broke the headlight, sorry!
Please tell me you're putting it back on the bike with a new headlight?
And don't worry about the sticker it'll probably be ruined if you try to take it off, I was just pissed off she didn't realise what it was!
