So there I am on my way back home after another hard day at work browing the innernet and reading Ride Reports. I'm in no great rush especially since the roads are wet. I get to this one off ramp which makes a 270 degree turn. I'm doing maybe 35km/h and had just passed the apex and was starting to pick the bike up again when the front suddenly disappeared from underneath me. Landed flat on my @rse with the bike landing on my left foot - I think the gear lever impacted on my big toe. Skidded for about 5m while watching the lovely sparks caused by bike/tar interface.

Scene of crime. I lost the front about 3m past the drain on the right.

Damage: No serious damage. If anything it all adds to the KLR's character. The handlebar and sidestand took most of the impact.

I don't really know what happened. There must've been a really slippery spot on the road but I couldn't really see what caused it. Not sure if the TKC80's had anything to do with it.

My toe's quite sore but I don't think it's anything serious. I'm a bit p!ssed off with myself for not wearing my Moto-X boots as these would've been much better at absorbing the impact compared to my touring boots. But I didn't feel like wet feet today. School fees are expensive... Just glad there wasn't a car right behind me.
