Lambchops and Tumblingweed.

So... after church I pointed the bike north and ended up at Florisbad... the new resort was a surprise and very well appointed.

Ideal for a chill weekend away. They have very good facilities if one ever thought of having a Bash near Bloem.
Enough punting though... the lunch was superb! Lekker skaaptjoppies en groete!

After lunch I pointed the wheel west and came across this weird creature!

A closer inspection of the critter revealed it to be Tumbling weed, another Boer War legacy thanks to the Brits.

This plant and it's widespread infestation is something we share with the USA.

A little further on I came across the R64 and turned back home then turned off onto the dirt again after Krugersdrift.

A enjoyable ride after many weeks of not taking the bike out... Lekker to be back on gravel again. :thumleft:

Sheesh - am I lus for some skaap tjoppies now!!! :o
The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.

They were superb!

They are also having a "Skildpadfees" on June 5... traditional dancers of all ethnic groups, braai and toutrek affair etc.

Would have taken more pics but was having too much fun on the bike. :mwink:
