So finally the day dawned on us that we were so looking forward to, and as the devil wanted it it started raining the evening before we left. It was going to be myself and Morne (Motoman) on our 2 990S's for the next four days.
Luckily it stopped raining just before our departure out of Pretoria around 8.
We headed for Delmas all along the back roads down to Himeville which would be our final destination by the end of the day.
Our first stop was to be Standerton for a refill at the Engen and the Wimpy.
We were soon on our way again and the weather started improving other side of Newcastle.
We lost our way slightly traveling along the N3 and the railway tracks but were quickly on route again after we struggled on the service road next to the railway tracks that was recently graded.
Then it was time for some nice twisty sealed roads all the way to the turnoff towards, Himeville.
This section of road was awesome, not only because of the condition of the road but also the scenery and time of day we rode.
We finally arrived in Himeville where we filled up ready for the next day and headed up to our overnight spot at Sani Lodge back packers.
Dinner was catered for and we were pretty thankful for that as it was a pretty long day on the bikes with bad wind for around 4hours.
