Dear Chris
my name is Davide Casetti and I’m the Dacar MotorSport Europe Sales Manager.

I would like to present to you the Twin Turbo Kit developed specifically for the BMW R1200 GS for all the models from 2004 to 2011, Adventure version too.

Dacar MotorSport Europe is the European site of Dacar MotorSport, a Brazilian top leader company in competition engine tuning.
The two owners are Daniel Almeida Prato and Nelson Piquet, the former F1 3 times world champion pilot, who has an enormous knowledge about the turbo technology.

Why a Twin Turbo on a GS?
First of all the turbo has not a turbo lag as for the old turbo, but it is very well controlled by an advanced wastegate valve.
The max pressure is 0,5 bar in order not to modify the cylinder compression rate.

The results is an increasing of the maximum power (up to 182 HP at the engine) given in a very progressive way, no violent or brutal.
The turbo starts working at 3000 rpm and it gives more power already at low speed.
The benefit is to have more power and a even more elastic engine with full load and low speed.
Also in altitude during the summer seasons the GS has a ready powerful at full load.

The kit has been designed and industrialized with high quality materials and to be installed easily with a very little mechanic knowledge.

To install the kit there is not needing of modifying anything of the original bike: no drilling or anything else.
Just taking out the original escape circuit and installing the new parts following the instruction manual.

The kit is composed by:
- 2 escape manifold
- 2 Borg Warner turbines
- 1 wastegate valve
- 2 intercoolers
- 2 intake manifold
- 2 additional injectors
- 1 additional lambda sensor
- 2 intake pressure sensors
- 1 additional electric oil pump (for turbines lubrication)
- 1 additional ProTune ECU (connected to the original one and managing the additional injector)

Our first bikes have already run for more than 40.000 km with professional drivers (in and off road) without any kind of problem.
The torque is increased but within the maximum parameters projected by BMW not to damage the transmission or the gear box.
The torque has an even better curve: the original bike has a very variable torque curve due to the boxer engine, but with the turbo the curve becomes more regular and this way will preserve better and longer the engine.

Also we can provide the TDL Touch Dashboard Logger for bikes and cars: it is a professional gps data logger that can be connected to the ECU and record all the data on a GPS signal.
It shows live 6 channels chosen by the driver, it records all the datas from the ECU and it is possible to add more external sensors.
We are supplying Mitsubishi official rally cars and several monotype competition cars.
If interested we could supply the shared folder containing the dedicated analyser software and some sample files.
