So the weather turned out to be cool and partly cloudy , but with no rain.

Met Oros and KTM Kev at the Total garage at the bottom of Hellshoogte.

And no , the other KTM didnt make it ! Did you want it to rain ? Battery problem !!!

After a quick coffee , Hellshoogte, Paniel , Franshoek , and on to Villiersdorp.

The plan was to go to the waterfall described in Sundays Possible Ride thread.

Non of us had been up that road before , but I had always wanted to.

The first route I had mapped was wrong , but intersting.
We`ll have to go back and finnish the route to the dam.
We ended up going past a grave yard , then turned right and came to a locked gate,( Calling Buzzlightyear or Rooipoot) Are we allowed through the gate ?

We tuned left just outside Villiersdorp at the  Kaaimansgat turn off as directed by Coxwayne.

Stunning winding road(tar) up and over the mountain to this view :

It feels like you are discovering a hidden valley.
Down the mountain to the valley below , after a word with one of the locals , we turned left and headed down a dirt road to a maize of dirt roads , but on the second attempt , were directed back up to the correct road.
And finally got the the end of a rugged little dirt road,
You have to park your bike there and walk up a path with some stairs and some more stairs.

The air was so fresh and crisp up there that you lungs burn.
But it was well worth it.
Up and into a very pretty little Kloof, Firns and green under growth, a little stream running down below and here and there a wooden Bench.
Probably meant for us "Ou Toppies " to catch our breath.
But the waterfall is a sight to behold , wow , very pretty !

Well worth taking a ride to.

Then on down back to hook up withe the Van Der Stel Pass road and on down to Bot river for a late breakfast.
Up Houhoek old two spoor , which is getting very rutted and way more sandy than it was a year or so ago.

We then headed on the N2 in the Grabou direction to join up with the Highlands road.

At the end of the Highlands road, as we were chatting , R-O-V Rat joined us at speed and in a cloud of dust.
He was testing some new luggage he wants to use on his trip to the Richtersveld next weekend.

We then headed through Kleinmond past Rooi Els and in a jiffy were in Gordonsbay.

Thanks for a lekker ride Kev and Oros.
There is nothing like getting home safely after a days ride with great company.
