I have also a big problem with this. If you go to stellenbosch boord spar theres always nobs parking in the 2 handicap bays that services that hole parking lot and its big.

I once went up to someone and asked him whats wrong with you and he said dont be P$#s and walked off.

I think if they just started clamping ppl this problem would stop.

The whole idea of parking in handicapped parking is BS - anyone who knows anyone that has reason to park there only to find some idiot using the space because he / she is to lazy to park like the rest of us will blow a top.

In this case, I believe that a non-biker (or biker's wife) will probably comment something like "Look at how the f...ing idiot bikers park - they already think they own the road - now they own the parking lot too!" - they are likely not to look at the specific brand - so it affects the good name of all bikers in general  >:( .

Poor form from these riders, irrespective of the brand... :patch: :xxbah:
Maybe change the header?

Maybe, (what would you suggest?) it is posted as such because my wife who is not a rider at all first noticed this and her comment was look at those BMW riders. I think this that's how some of the public would have seen this. A sad day for us all.

Your wife no doubt have contact with you and the way the banter go against and between brands, I think most non bikers would refer to idiot bikers misbehaving. Your claim that its not brand bashing is poor, sorry.

Oh yes those guys using the parking for disabled people are asses and should be told that, at the very least

I Think his comment regarding brand is fair. If someone drives like an idiot in a car you would look at the brand and tell the story to a mate by saying some idiot in his merc nearly killed me.

So i think that brand is not the issue here but would have had the same result if it was KTM bmw or whatever.

To answer your original question: No, we are not all handicapped! Some of us are clearly dwisses.

You see - a straight forward, intelligent answer to a loaded question......  :mwink:

Methinks that the pic is worth the Brand Bash unfortunately - idjuts parking like that bring out the wrath of the general public - and quite deservedly too, IMO.

The bikes pictured are the view that Joe Public sees, and the natural generalisation will follow from them.... - "Blerrie BMW riders think they can do what they want....." Etc.

Irritates & embarrasses me.......

A question:

How would we, members of this forum, react if them three bikes were Harley Davidsons?

I think I would feel like Mrs Jockey feels about BMW's.

This type of behavior is common in Johannesburg. It has nothing to do with the vehicle per se, but people who buy "image" vehicles are of type of low life who parks in the slots designed and reserved for disabled people. They are FAR too important to walk an extra 10 metres.
Clinicians can contact the clinicians' hotline number on 0800 111 131 (for doctors only); and, in addition to 0800 029 999, the public can also contact the public hotline number on 0800 111 132. These lines all operate 24 hours a day.
