Nothing bike related here, except for some real Wild Dogs ;D. Some snaps from my recent visit to the Kruger Park...

All pictures taken with a Canon Powershot A610 digital point+shoot.

Awesome photos, growweblaar! Some postcard shots, and some I want as a background!

My favourites

Perfect composition and lighting in both cases, IMO

Yeah, these new digital mik+druk cameras are awesome (my Canon is a few years old, so has max 5 megapixels, but I find that's enough for most applications).

In the past I used an old manual SLR, which helps you to get the basics right. I normally shoot on the Program (P) mode - not Auto (A) - since I can adjust sensitivity (ISO), exposure compensation (EF) and also the flash. I rarely use the more specialised modes.

The two things I miss from my SLR, especially for nature/wildlife, is the long lens and my polarizing filter. I'm tempted to splash out and get a digital SLR and +- 400mm lens, but I can't justify the expense for the use it will get!  :P

PS  Nicki, if you're serious about those pics as backgrounds, I'll send you the hi-res versions if you want...
