Before the day ends, just after crossing a stream we are all reminded that your smile can be wiped of your face very quickly - and turned into rude laughter! Gummi wanted to turn around to take a picture and with the 990 being a bit af a fat ass, the bike simply fell over. I cracked myself! He didn't find this very funny and certainly didn't like the look of his 990 lying on its side! But this wouldn't be the last time the beast would lie on its side...

I eventually helped him and we got the beast back on its wheels.

We got to Sesriem without any further incidents, set up camp, took a dip in the pool and had a leke braai.

That route looks like it includes van Zyl's pass. There's a shortage of fuel in some of those remote areas. Going to be interesting to see how you guys managed that. Packed the fridge with beers and ice - popcorn in the micro .....
