There seems to be quite an interest in lighter, more off-road oriented bikes that could also be used for adventure riding.
We frequently read about the pro's and con's of WR's, TE's, G's, XCW's. It would seem that we usually think along the lines of 450's when we ask the questions.
What are your feelings about a good bike if the requirements are:
1. The ability to do some distance on tar at a decent speed without killing the mechanicals.
2. The wind not preventing you from exceeding 90km/h.
3. The ability to carry a little bit of gear. Equipped maybe to sleep over a night or so, some extra clothing.
4. Suspension that's good enough.
5. A bike that's light enough not to require the super-abilities that the bikes called "Adventure" require.
I guess the list goes on, but which bikes will make good TP's?
