change of plans. too wet and cold form maclear. pushed through to aliwal north. had the worst day of my biking career. pouring down for the whole 250 odd kms. cold too. just arrived. got a halfjack of obs left. cold, wet and miserable, maybe the obs will cheer us up?

can anyone plse post the weather prediction for the next few days for this area, as well as the central ec and northern cape from here back to ct. we may have to adjust our plans on account of the rain. gravel is out for now.

cheers

i did a check on
Queenstown - rain till wednesday, minimum temps below 10 degrees.
De Aar - same as Queenstown.
Outshoorn - dry, sunny and warm.
Sutherland - monday 60% rain, Tuesday cloudy. cold at night.
Graaff Reinet - same as Sutherland.
Beaufort West - 30% showers monday, clearing up nicely on Tuesday

if you are more specific, i can try to help check further for you guys....

As for the weather, looks like the worst is over for our intrepid war heroes. This is what SA weather has to say...

A cold front moves over the southern and south-eastern parts of
the country today, bringing cloudy and cooler conditions to the
area, with rain and showers along the southern and south-east
coast and adjacent interior. This cold front is linked to a
surface trough over the western and central interior, and is
associated with an upper and mid level low pressure system as
well. Together, these systems are resulting in a broad band of
moisture being drawn into the central interior, with showers and
thundershowers expected over most of the southern half of the
country, with more widespread activity expected in the south-east.
Within the zone of widespread showers, heavier falls of rain are
possible in places. The cold front should move through KwaZulu-
Natal by Tuesday afternoon, with the rain and cold conditions
spreading eastwards. Very cold conditions are possible on the
highground of the Eastern Cape tomorrow.
By Wednesday the front should be well east of the country and
conditions should gradually start to clear over the country, with
very low probability of rainfall over the interior. The
development of a trough system west of the country on Friday
should bring more activity into the western and central parts of
the country, resulting in thundershowers. These thundershowers
should spread into the eastern interior and highveld by Saturday
evening, persisting on Sunday.
The next cold front is expected in the Cape on Sunday, bringing
more rain and showers to the southern and south-western coastal
belt.
Live and let live.
