Here I go again showing my age and ignorance, but I have to ask this question. Years ago I used to 'observe' at trials, and the scoring rule was that if the bikes front wheel stopped turning, it counted as a fail and incurred 5 points regardless of whether the rider put his foot down.
Nowadays I see riders frequently coming to a dead stop without being penalised. When did this rule change and why?
