Race Dog
So as i'm sure a couple of you 'Dawgs know, we attended yet another incredible Rallye Raid last weekend in the indescribably beautiful Wild Coast. Mike Glover from Red Cherry Adventures outdid himself yet again and lifted the bar so high that I can't picture this event getting any better...ever ???
We decided due to work commitments that our group which consisted of RADMoto KTM clients, that we would trailer our bikes down to East London airport and catch a plane Thursday morning. With some careful planning from Dave Griffin, the MD at RAD, this turned out cheaper than riding down over 2 days, saving a lot of wear and tear on the bikes and riders and averting the inevitable race that would have ensued when you put a bunch of cock sure KTM riders together!
Arriving at the airport we were greated by the RAD van and our tired drivers Pritchard and Mark. They had off loaded all the bikes and parked them neatly under the gazebo, ready for us to kit up and ride off towards Kei mouth.
As expected there was a bit of dicing and tyre shredding out of EL, with all of us having a right jol. arriving at Kei mouth we stopped for a cold Cocochino (Captain 'n Coke) at THe Bush Pig Pub, owned by Ian Bradley who is a great and hospitable chap. One drink and we boarded the ferry which took us across the Kei and onto a entertaining dirt road off towards our meeting point, Trennery lodge.
