To be a true Paris Dakar, manufacturer date would've been late 1984 (earliest was July 1984 if I'm not mistaken) through to 1985. Also should have black front forks. How are you certain this is definitely one of them from the VIN?

Same bike, with pretty much a different tank and fairing. Some of the PD's came with a nicer rear ohlins shock. Minor differences. 99% of parts the same.
