Hi Only tar road never been off. I had to cut them smaller, for a better fit. I must say thus far it is behaving great. Cant wait to put some weight on it. Ja I don’t know if you go into the stiffness of the spring vs. damping of the shocks,  and all that if it will have an effect. But for now...

Ok Ok !!Maybe not the best solution but it is works. It is called "Spring boosters" - rubber "inserts" -you force in between the coils. This stop that part of the coil being compressed or just less. - I am sure this is going to prolong the life of the actual shock as well because it is not...

My 1200GS is normal height but when I get on with my 110kg. the 1200GS feels like a 650GS. Is  there a way that I can stiffen the rear spring? It is not the shock response (hard or soft) but the centimetres it goes down when I sit on it. Needless to say when I got a passenger it is even worse...
