Apologies RedDust, I checked the post on my phone before and just saw we're on Wild Dog, not bloody ADVRider! However, the process is the same. There's a little red "Play" icon near the end of Row 2 of the toolbar. Just click it once and paste the YouTube video URL between the two "youtube"...
I think if you use the little video embed icon in the editor toolbar here on ADVRider and just paste the video URL, rather than cut and pasting the embed code from YouTube, it should work—but there are a few assumptions in there!
I had a bad experience with Outlaw Racing clutch kits and would recommend avoiding them. It was yet another lesson learned for me for not sticking with OEM.
The quality of the springs is important in prolonging the life of the plates. If the springs don’t retain their tension/length the clutch...
Will arrive in SA in a few days with a standard 990 (210mm) and would be happy to swap. I’ve been looking for someone to swap with for a while.
Have just had a full shock rebuild and new seals, bushes and oil in the forks.
I am running heavy front springs but I think they are the same length...
Other than the inclusion of the ABS system into the circuit the rest is quite basic so I would check out the pickup on the front left fork to see if anything is interfering or out of place. Sorry I can’t me of more help!
Thanks so much Steve, that solution sounds great. And thanks for the offer to call but it's 100% clear don't worry. Plus I'm in Aus now so I will probably wake you up!
I was advised to have the forks serviced about once a year or so (riding conditions dependent as mentioned). I believe the service manual agrees but can't remember off the top of my head.
I had the shop do them the first time, and will do them myself next time now that I did a practice run on...
When I have asked this question in the past the answer has always been: "stick with OEM". Having said that I run Supersprox on the 450 and I'm very happy with the quality so can't see why it would be any different for the 990.
But this is my first post on Wild Dog so if I were you I wouldn't...
Hi guys, first post.
I'm here in Aus and have the Enduro double-takes on my 990. Once you get the RAM mount arms the right way round they are good and will stay stuck in position even over corrugations, etc. Fold down nicely and are tough! For the price I've been very happy.
