Who knows..... The "law" changes every time you leave your house.. I heard a guy got fined the other day because he didnt have a fire extinguisher strapped to his bike. Will check on the basics and post.

Yip and i challenged a cop about this the other day, he gave me a fine for my number plate light not working, i handed the $20 over and said "there you go, money towards your wages"... He says, this is for the state, I laughed and said, no its for your wages.. He shook his head and walked...

I have been trying to repair the plastic tank on my XR400 with plastic welding and have failed big time.... I have now given up. Will make another plan..

For sure, you are right.. There is a pic of the bike on the page where i introduced myself in February ish. I will take some pics this weekend on various options i have and see what you guys think. Will only be back online on Tuesday..

Thanks guys I did originally remould the tank by heating it with a heat gun, i have had to repair it a couple of times now and dont really fancy it getting a leak 500 km from home.... I have thought about modifying a steel tank.. I have a old Tenere tank, the very big steel one, it fits nicely...

Hi All, I have a very annoying leak on the inside of the fuel tank on my bike, i have tried plastic welding and it worked but is leaking again. Does anyone have any ideas?? Was wondering if there is anything in South Africa like a resin or Contact adhesive or something i can use to block the...

I live in Harare and the cops can be a pain, doesn't seem like they getting paid so are extorting from motorists but as with most places in Africa, smile, wave and be friendly and you will generally be fine.. Enjoy the trip and look forward to the report.
