I do intend to take your road from Himeville to Clarens! Would you say it is possible to go into Lesotho, from At the Top and back over Sani, and still reach Golden gate in one day? I also had that Monkeybike since about 8 years old. I sold it later for a Peewee bike for my young son about 18...

Tommy, we intend to sleep at the Top, drop down and back up Sani and zip out the next day to Golden gate. If things change due to bad weather, I will def call you up, bud!

I am planning a ride from Gordons Bay, through the EC and around Lesotho(including Sani Pass if weather permits). We will depart on 4 May and be back on 12 May. We do have a back-up bakkie (so far), who will be following us. :blob9: You can view and take part in the trip at this link as well...

I am under the impression that the toll road has been closed for the public, recently. Is it true and which other route will you suggest? I am coming from Graafwater side and will be heading for Strandfontein.

It seems my KLR's splines are worn. Lever has lots of play. I enlarged the gap on the clamp and tightened the bolt every time. I am afraid the clamp will eventually break.. Any good news? I hope the splines on the shaft will last.
