I believe any bike can wheelie in any mode. It's all to do with the rider. Here there is a school boy wheelying his scooter at every robot by hanging off the back but brilliantly. One time he asked me,  :imaposer: , why don't I join. Gave him the, my bike has too many controlled settings and smiled.

Not sure if it is the same but on the 1290R you can set 2 quick settings by selecting up or down arrows. Maybe that can help

That is very good mileage. My 1290R gets 15km/l average over last 20k. 800gsa 18km/l over 50k. However I don't play around, love speed and racing too much

Few basic rules: 1. Heavy stuff at the bottom 2. Frequently used stuff on top, usually in the topbox for easy access like classes, wallet etc. You don't want to search for these when you stop for coffee 3. Even distribution on the panniers. And most important- remember the bike is wider so...

You will get used to the quick shifter then it is awesome. I'm also looking at the standard as my purpose is mainly commuting for this bike. But the seat feels harder than the R and it does not make sense to me to buy the R seat as then the price will be almost R. So for that reason the R makes...

Went to KTM Cape Town to have a look at both the 790 adv standard and R  :ricky: I'm very impressed. Not sure what is all the fuzz about the tanks. I think it is more a case of different than the norm. The R oozes hardcore right there  :thumleft:  :drif:
