I tried two of the Motobatt Lithium batteries, the weight saving was amazing but... the bike struggled to start, went to a standard lead Motobatt and bike cranks beautifully. Pity the lightweight ones didnt work

Hi all, anyone considered installing an oil cooler like the one installed on Fabrizio Meoni's Dakar 950? I like the idea of tinkering and this mod has for some reason sparked my interest.

I have the Uni Pre Filter and Uni Main Foam Filter, I initially experienced the same problem using Belray Filter oil, I bought some Motorex filter cleaner and motorex oil, cleaned that shite Belray Glue crap out (was a nightmare to clean) and lightly re-oiled the Pre-Filter and liberally oiled...

Have done a couple gravel trips but have also had the 990 in the dunes which was great fun but hard work due to the weight, am keen to do some more technical riding and am trying to figure out whether the 690 is a lot better than the 990 or if it is similar but with less power like my old Yamaha...
