I've fitted the KTM one and it sorted the dust in the intake problem that the original paper filter had, I've also fitted a KTM open air filter cover and removed the snorkel. It goes like a rocket but the intake sound levels are so loud that I could not even hear my Akrapovic screaming behind...

I had more or less the same issue on my 690 - turned out to be the coil???

My 2012 690 was perfect for 1500km until one day it would not idle when reaching operating temp, KTM replaced the coil under warranty - no issues since - except for the rear tire that wears off quite quick!

Took my 2012 690 to Clearwater for a warranty issue - they worked overtime and 2 days later the snag was sorted - the other shops could not faultfind the issue. i did not pay a cent, just spend some money in that orange candy store, i felt like a kid again!

Thanks! Up North near the Tanzanian border - Mozimboa da Praia. I work in Aviation and do 4 week here and 4 weeks home. We live on the airport in a well established temporary camp and fly the oil riggers to the ships daily.
