Ok... So let me just say, I do agree with the electric start... It's not such a big pain on the XT600, but yea when doing a long day of stop and go riding it gets a bit rough. I guess what I am getting at is that I understand why people would get these accessories... but I don't get why people...

Agree with all the above posts... There is a certain amount of luck involved with this as well. Some people never have issues with their older bikes, and others like myself spend thousands on getting them fixed. But that's just par for the course.  Also not really comparing it to a new bike...
