    TOO MANY GADGETS!!!

Says the man on a GS1200 ;) Yes At some point I suppose they were considered gadgets, but I can tell you that if I did not have any of them and the bike still ran I would still be riding. :pot:

    TOO MANY GADGETS!!!

Ok... So let me just say, I do agree with the electric start... It's not such a big pain on the XT600, but yea when doing a long day of stop and go riding it gets a bit rough. I guess what I am getting at is that I understand why people would get these accessories... but I don't get why people...

    TOO MANY GADGETS!!!

I am young, so I should love all the new tech coming to the bikes. But goddamn it! In my opinion people are becoming gadget obsessed. Colleague of mine sold his Hayabusa the other day ( After I convinced him to buy it since he was looking for a fast bike ) simply because it did not have ABS...

    Buying a old XT/XR/DR pitfalls.

Agree with all the above posts... There is a certain amount of luck involved with this as well. Some people never have issues with their older bikes, and others like myself spend thousands on getting them fixed. But that's just par for the course.  Also not really comparing it to a new bike...

    Buying a old XT/XR/DR pitfalls.

Ok, so lets start by saying I like all 3 brands, this is not a brand bashing thread, or any type of bashing.. Just a real account of what to expect when buying these old thumper legends. It's also based purely on my experience and could be completely wrong. We have all seen the gumtree adds for...

    Stuff you've witnessed/encountered while commuting.

Was sitting on the bike at a petrol station in Voortrekker road PTA, just as you are about to go over the mountain pass. I hear a bit of a commotion and look to my right to notice a venter trailer running down the road... no car attached.. 2 seconds later a red glof came screaming past using his...
