At 55,000km on the ODO, make sure they have done the big 60,000km service. If the big 60,000km service hasnt been done where they do valve clearances, you are in for at least a R11k bill for that service. Ive done 2 of them on my bike, 30,000 and recently the 60,000.

Mine was broken too about a year ago, little bit of a fiddle to fix and places it in a spot where is less likely to break from movement. Its been happy ever since and doesnt tell me its -10.5 degrees when I have a bum sweat from the summer sun.

I have these on my 1190 and they have worked great this whole winter up until now.. I generally ride with them on Medium on the morning commutes and turn them off in the afternoons on the way home. Maximum is $%^&*@# HOT!!! even on the chillier JHB mornings.

Any of you gents taking a road trip into Lesotho for a day, Im trying my luck in the hope I have someone to follow for my first trip in... It'll have to be tar mostly but if the gravel is hardpack we can do that, I have my Mrs as pillion so cant go too rough offroad with her on the back.
