It would then seem like I would have to get the whole headlight housing if the reflector is the limiting factor? I could rather then go for something like the Baja design insert of even the KTM power parts X2 Halogen Lighting Kit...

If I could DIY the housing to fit the 2013 globe, how will I know if the bike actually supports the 55W globe and would not cause me problems? Sorry for all the questions but I have no experience with regards to this kind of modding

Hi Bill, You mean compare part number for the 09 globe and the 13 globe and rather get that? Or am I missing something? PS. I see the 2013 uses a 12v/55W(P/N 57111038000) and the 2009 uses a 12v/35W(P/N 44111038000)

Hi Jacobsroodt Thanks for the info. I have ordered myself the TUNE ECU KTM KIT from lonelec. Will be checking my Throttle sensor and probably be loading the Akrapovic maps as a start.

I recently bought a Katoom 690 from a fellow dog. I am really loving the bike, massive power, nimble, and a pure joy to ride. I really like the amount of aftermarket extras that are available for the bike, just hate not always having the money to buy them  ::) I have experienced a few hiccups...
