At my local licensing department if you're a South African citizen they'll only accept an ID book or smart ID card as proof of identity. SA drivers licenses and SA passports are not acceptable. Not sure if it's the same elsewhere in SA though.

I've got the luminous yellow Oxford two-piece rain jacket and pants. I've used them through 2 Cape Town winters now and never had a problem with any leakage. I prefer the two piece, because the rain jacket doubles up as a wind breaker over my riding jacket on cold but dry days.
