Found on motorcyclespecs.co.za .... The famous picture of a man stretched out in only a bathing suit on a Vincent is not in fact a Black Shadow but a Black Lightning. The Black Lightning was a custom order from the factory and was some 100 pounds lighter and 25 hp more powerful than the stock...

Got 26 000 km on my rear Anakee II 'V'  -  front was still serviceable when I traded my bike (F800GS) @ 30 000km .....  :o

Yup, need to hit the dirt more often .... found a couple of kms of gravel on the way to work - so hop off the tar  >:D every now & then to kick up some dust ...

Leaving the lurking attitude and newly joined this forum  ... looking 4ward to meeting the dogz .. Got my 800 (new) late March after a 12yr + break from biking - good to be outta the cage and in the saddle again  :) Stay North of Pta (otherside of the boerewors curtain) and commute to Rosebank...
