    Battery 950 SE

Anybody out there who can give me some advice on the 950 SE battery. After years of good service (almost daily rides ) the original KTM battery packed up. The original being friggin expensive I got a Toplite TTZ14S MF sealed battery twice, both packed up after about 4 months. Advised to get a...

    HEAT SHIELD for Regulator Rectifier

Saw this post today. On my very first trip down mainroad Windhoek I felt this heat streaming up my right leg. Thought this was kak en got a Touratech heatdeflecting shield. I had some hard, long rides (which included riding right through midday hours) since then and the regulator seems to be ok...

Wouter and Braam's Angola Trip Nov 2011

    Gearbox/ gearshift SE

Thanks. They just replaced my slave cylinder before my last trip, it cracked up and leaked, apparently one of the SE's more common problems. (this only at 12000km)I will try the bleeding, I just dont want my gearbox to go bust, esp not on a longplanned trip.

    2 finger levers ?

Just received a mail from Johan (Wild@heart). These levers where never meant to be for the SE's. I suppose the frontbreaklever is not that important. Will keep my clutchlever.. May be some dog is into manufacturing these levers, I have to speak to the guy who did my levers on my HP wayback.

    Gearbox/ gearshift SE

Hi there, Towards the end of a massive 2500km+ Zamgola trip of extreme hard riding,  I felt that my gears are not shifting as easy as usual. It seems to not always be the case, its harder to shift up than down. At a stage towards the end of the trip I could not shift up at all, but than it...

    2 finger levers ?

Hi there, got exactly the same problem like you have. Still waiting for an answer, thought that I would grind, glad that I did not. The twofingerclutch on its own though is already a winner. Two more questions: I need a second SE, must be in excellent shape, please let me know. Than: my current...

    Lost in Translation (Zim/Zam/Angola)

Hallo Bessie, has Wouter published this info somewhere? Got GPS info on where you passed the border? Anyway... Wouter is going to write a detailed report that contains all the information about the few routes that one can use to cross from Zambia into Angola... and i will post it here.

    KTM Superenduro Panniers

Thanks for feedback, the fact is that we like to take our SE on roads less travelled. That in itself makes the luggage thing a challenge. Immense forces on the back if you tend to make full use of the SE's abilities.

    KTM Superenduro Panniers

Has anybody got experience on which panniers to get for my 950 SE? Touratech has got the ZEGA range. Panniers look fine to me but the crux is the sturdyness of the brackets. Numerous RR's which show pics of broken pannierbrackets....dunnot like to take those pics myself in the years to come..

Angola, Angola - a tale of “três cavaleiros”

Well done! You have opened up the Longa- Calais passage and shown that this can be done! The crucial point is timing in the year and availability of petrol in Nankova. I was part of the gang which attempted the route from Calais (with Jan du Toit, Stefan Boshoff /Bakkes). Very early we had the...
