I've never tackled Atlantis on the big dog, only on smaller stuff (real small, like 200XC small) but what the hell, I need to lose a few Kilos so picking up 180Kg of dirt-bike off the sand is probably a good way to do it. See you there... 8)

I've heard there's a French outfit organising something similar, but they're including about 200 bikes, 150 cars and another 80-90 trucks. Apparently they used to do this in North Africa, but decided that South America was, um 'safer'. Maybe we can hook up with them, they seem pretty well...

Mate, you're a flipping fountain of useful information. I'll probably go with the Visor option then. I do have Goggles that fit over my specs, Oakley L-Frames, but the specs tend to get fogged up in rain, even if the Goggles don't. Arai's click closed yes, el cheapo Airohs don't click, in fact...

I wear Specs when I ride, so what's likely to fog up worse, my Airoh helmet with Visor, or an MX Helmet with Goggles? I'm thinking Full face is easier to wipe no?

Well, there may only be 4 people talking about this ride, but DAMN, you boys are motivated! I haven't seen this much excitement about a backyard ride since, well, never actually!

Exactly, besides, the 640s usually do better than the 525s in the Dakar Rally don't they, or was that mostly due to the riders???
