Apparently you can throw some soft panniers over the bike and cable tie a pelican case on top and then do 32,000 km through Africa without any additional modes. You could optionally change the left indicator if you want but I didn't notice any performance improvements...

Not guaranteeing speed but maybe I'll have a go at reviving this thread. We're currently in Israel, just back from a jaunt around Jordan. 14 months on the road. 31000km. 16 countries. We're expecting to be back in SA in around 2 months time. Expect this ride report to come out at XR125 pace.

Are they riding Hakskeenpan? The helicopter will get some great shots. Although I though people were not allowed to ride because of the speed record attempt in the next year or two.
