I had the Honda Transalp first, very easy bike to ride. (the older one with the 21'' front wheel) I moved up pretty quickly from that. The 650 was a great lump, but didnt have the legs on the open road Had the BM after that. Dropped it a couple of times, mainly cause i wasnt cautious enough...

I bought the damper plus a mounting kit?? I can only assume its the kit you talking about.  Ill check it out when I open the box.

So I got myself a Scotts damper for the 990. Im still out the country until the weekend, so havent had a chance to fit it or test it out yet. Hopefully you guys can give me the thumbs up and help me justify my purchase.

Transalp was 21km/L 1150 was 19km/L Metzler tourance 13000 on the rear, 17000 on the front KTM........12km/L :( twisting the wrist tho, changes  :( to  :biggrin: Havent had it long enough..... not good by the sounds of things.

Hey Guys My 990 is coming up to its 15k km service. Im looking for some recommendations for the service. Im am in the nothern suburbs in CT. Anyone close by, or anyone I should make a special effort to get it serviced with? maybe more importantly, who to avoid? The bike is out of warranty, so...

I was there for the festival last year, did the 4x4 event. What a jol, the gees was great. definitly worth a visit
