Hi Big Blue, I have the top box "pop" open regularly. What seems to help is to close it first, remove the key, and then push it down until hear an audible "click". In my opinion it is a lousy design, locking clip should have been aluminium - not plastic. :xxbah:

Any other 1200ST owner notice how flimsy the standard bash plate is? Attached pics of an aftermarket bash plate made locally by SSS Racing (local is lekker  :thumleft:).
