Thanks guys. I've checked and re-checked the wiring and confident that's all in place so thinking along Welsh's thoughts that the tank got damaged during repairs. I'll probably need to remove it and strip out the pump to check the float's ok.

That's right and we going back to that end of the world this weekend for a jol in Vaalwater. Probably stop in at the Koekepan (time permitting).

I had my tank repaired after being bumped. The tank had a dent on the right hand side. After getting it back and putting it back onto the bike AND filling the tank, the guage shows empty and the reserve light remains on. Any suggestions what the problem could be? Thanks

You better belive it!!! It purrs along all day on trips. My previous 1100 I sold on juts short of 120,000ks about 3 years back to a guy in Cape Town who's still riding it.

Sorry forgot to mention it also has BMW crash-bars fitted.
