    Bike riding makes me sick!

The wind dries out your sinuses. If it dries out, it can't produce and 'distribute' snot, which protects you against the baddies in the air. I put a little Vics vaporub on my nostrils, which helps to keep stuff in there moist. I had the same.. Problem solved. Not riding is not an option.

    BMW 800GS or BMW 1200GSA??

I've had both, and would also recommend the GSA. As mentioned, You soon get used to the width. The GSA is slightly heavier on fuel though, but with that ginormous tank, it only has an effect on your pocket. It's comfy, and the weight is really not that much of an issue, even if your have to...

    Stolen BMW R1150GS Adventure

Ok, so. Not a lot of damage. The one pannier box is missing a lid. One indicator is broken. Some minor scratches here and there. BMW insurance is sorting it out. Thanks again to everyone.

    Stolen BMW R1150GS Adventure

They Found it!!! It was also left in the veld. They leave it in the grasses, and wait and see if anything happens. If nobody comes looking for it, they know it doesn't have a tracking device fitted. He's going to have a look now. Hopefully everything is still there.. Please be...

    Stolen BMW R1150GS Adventure

Hi All A friend of mine's BMW R1150GS Adventure was stolen this morning between 3:00 and 5:00 out of his garage in Hartbeespoort. Please have a look out for it? It's a 2003 model, with full panniers. It also has a wind deflector on the screen, blue anodised bar raisers, action camera mounting...

    1200gs vs 1150gsa

Ek het weer die vakansie met 'n 1150GSA gery. Dit bly vir my 'n baie lekker fiets. Ek dink as ek 'n keuse moes maak tussen 'n laat model 1150 en 'n vroee model 1200, sou ek 'n 1150 vat. Wat my die meeste van die 1150 pla is al die aluminium rondom die gearshift. Dit lyk nie vir my sterk nie. Tog...

    1200gs vs 1150gsa

I find the seat of my 1200GSA very comfy. The only problem I have is that the bike is probably too big for me. I'm saying this, because my back tends to get really sore after long distances. I think the handlebars are just too far a reach. I want to try and set it back a bit, otherwise I'll have...

Yamaha and BMW Anti brakelock systems.

When I upgraded from the 800GS to the 1200GSA, I went for the basic model without ABS. This was mainly because I had too many situations with the 800 where the ABS almost caused problems for me. Specifically, coming down a slight decline, on an uneven road braking a bit hard. The bike would just...

New BMW F800GS front disc rattle

Did you buy from Northside? I did, and took mine to Bavarian (Centurion), to check the discs. They replaced them under warrantee. But they do still...."clack" Other than that, the bike is LOVELY!
