Pose this question to your local BMW dealer - I have just bought a set of tools that will basically help me in any situation (apart from strippping the motor) off my R 1200 GS Adventure.....for only R680.... This includes the spanner for taking the wheels of up to and including the sparkplug...

I agree - let someone else also drive it and check the tyre pressure....

For that type of money I would rather buy a BMW 650 GS

Hya, I smaller than you and I drive a R1200 GS Adventure with ease..... The 1200GS is an awesome bike - don't worry too much about wight righ now, as for the 800 GS AWESOME bike, can't go wrong with that one !!
