Ok soI have had all GS. From original 800 up to 2016 1200 ADV . Now I have 2017 800 XCX and I love it . I miss the grunt of the big GS . But I love the revy triple it is almost like riding old school 2T on the dirt . The suspension is much better the the big GS on dirt . Bike feels light and...

Perhaps it would be a little small if were an only bike . That said if I had the opportunity to travel Africa I would use an XR650L

As most of us have , I have owned many bikes and the only bike I will never sell is my XR600R . It is not fast it is not powerful it does not have the best suspension but all the bits together make it the most fun you can have on a bike . I would actually say XR's rule 😁
