I lost mine some time ago in Africa, and after seeing the following tip on American made youtube channel (think it was Rawhide BMW school), tried it out and it worked just fine... With your heavy treaded boot, force pressure directly onto the cap and twist your foot quickly, it normally loosens...

Not sure if this is the same issue, however I have a 2012 GSA, and suffered severe fuel leakage from the awful plastic 'quick disconnect' coupling on the top of the tank, managed to get new metal ones from US and replaced them today... seems ok on short ride, hopefully that dangerous issue is...

Tz maybe difficult to find what you are wanting, not many adventure bikes. I did see a BMW Dakar and KTM 690 Enduro at KTM/Polaris in Dar es Salaam last week, Tz registered though. If you want to contact them, try [email protected] Better though probably is to contact Chris at Jungle...

Believe me it's a hassle getting anything like this here, tried to get a sealed battery here for my 12gsa, quoted 3 times the price of the battery just for air cargo... had to get Chinese replica, its lasted 6 months so far but need to try and get another - starter drag all over again.
