    Birds of South Africa

Hi CT, Nope, I took them during some travels. The first one is a seagull in New Zealand, the next two was taken in North-West from very close up, they are extremely small little birds. And the last one was taken in Corfu, Mediteranean. My knowledge and experience confirm all to be birds...

    Braided brake hoses

Instead of filling the reservoir and pumping the lever to get the bubbles out at the caliper at the wheel, you fill a large syringe (I've used 50ml) with clean brake-fluid, connect to the caliper with a pipe, open the reservoir and then push it from syringe, from the bottom to the top (be ready...

anyone got oversize front brake kit for new shape?

What or where is Schnitz? Found them - $209 on special at the moment. Plus courier $79 R2450 - bit steep at the moment. Groenie, where do you order your stock that you are waiting from at the moment?  What is your expected pricing and when do you expect your stock?

    Braided brake hoses

OK, with the better brakes having worked well for the week, I've decided to do a reverse bleed (from teh calliper to the lever side) this morning. Holy smokes!! Huge difference!  Now hard as rock! ;D When guys with older hoses do the replacement, it might be better to try and do the reverse...

    Braided brake hoses

OK, have done the conversion this week-end and the result are that everyone is right and everyone is wrong, depending on your departure point (and also if you read all the other threads on this on this forum)! O0 Braking might not be shorter, but it definitely feels better and the play on the...

Sounds like the clutch switch failing. Open and Clean it out. Do the same for the side-stand (or rather just bypass it completely).

    Braided brake hoses

I like excellent ideas, and therefore changed the brake-fluid first.  Still the brakes are not good enough.  Considering all the testimonies of those who have done it on their KLRs, I believe it is the way to go, and after that will be to install the bigger disk on the front. Like I said, I...

OK, have just ordered mine from Doc.  And I have replaced my fluid already - so I will be able to confirm the results to be better or worsie! :D

    Braided brake hoses

To be honest - I trust Lecap and Doc KLR when it comes to these.  Experience counts. Just a double-check: Doc, is your stock supply the ...  the more expensive PTFE ("Teflon") core lines, not cheap polyamide ("Nylon") core...."? And do you do the color coded shrink-fit?
