You must go to Semonkong lodge in lesotho, look it up on web. Spectacular roads there and around.

Cool down vest the best. Wet with water, put on and stay cool for hours. Well maybe 1-2 hours in Nam 45 degrees. Main thing is keep body temp down by wearing cool down vest, head scarf soaked in water and then drink a bucket load. Ballistic vest also best way to go.

So I rode the new Twin the other day and compared to the KTm 1190 Adv. Both on dirt, same conditions, same day. The Africa T feels very light but underpowered compared to KTM 1190, which is miles apart. My personal opinion, if you looking for a big adv bike to start on and get the skills up on...

Don't do raisers - get your standing riding position right, swivel handle bar slightly - and all cool. I am 185cm and very comfortable on my 1190.

I got one of the first 2013 1190s to arrive in SA. Done 15,000 kms, mainly off road and through Bots, Nam, Zam, etc. No problems at all. Changed filter to Uni, and is 100% clean. Personally I think any changes between 2013 and 2016, relevant to price change, are not justified (ex rate aside  ;D).

Any idea of price yet?

take a roll of seatbelt strap. Very light, and works perfectly for towing, strapping, etc. Can get at Builders or most hardwares.
