Same thing happened to me. Bottom bolt was just about ready to fall off. Half a turn and it came off. Noticed something was wrong with the brakes and pulled of on the highway... 5 minutes later and it could have turned out ugly... Was really disappointed at the supposedly very reputable mechanic...

Unfortunately not. These are the only knee protectors that I found to work with the boots. Therefore it would be better for the person who buys the boots to have them.
