Tiger8 is Spot On, NOT pillion friendly at all. Pillion will have to do lots of walking ! Also helping pick up the bike ;D

Not the case! Search on You Tube will give you a vid, of how to bleed the ABS systems too. Once you have done it yourself, you realise just how simple it is to service you bikes, then you KNOW them too.
This happened to my 800GS too. The bearings fail and the bearing housings get chewed up. New hub, re-spoke etc, alternatively just a 2nd hand complete wheel. This was the route I took, also bought a 2nd hand wheel complete from ACME. Did the bearings myself and as good as new again.
Plain simple "NEGLECT" I seriously suggest you do a bit of "bonding" with you bike. These seem all small issues, that just needs attention. Most times the "workshops" only concentrate on what s noted on the job sheet. Own time spent looking over your bike will pay off, big time, long time.
