I bought a set from Andre and dropped them off at JKWorks this morning to fit since they are replacing my rear wheel bearings and fitting my replacement center stand. I received these pictures from them saying it doesn't fit... 😄. I thought the design has been adjusted to remove the reshaping...

My old one did have a plastic plug but that is not the side that failed. The side that failed has no hole so not sure where the water came in.

Thanks. Yes, I suspect water ingress was the issue. JKWorks gave me a quote to fix. Just looking for other possible solutions.

I'm looking for a 2nd hand centre stand for my 2008 F800GS. Mine disintegrated. Seems to be a weak spot in the design.. Preferably in the Western Cape Northern suburbs.

Apple Graphics in Worcester did mine. I have the document with the specs they used for the vinyl GS stickers that I can email to anybody that needs it. PM me an email address. I actually got it from someone on this forum a few years ago...

I sort of forgot about this thread... Jandre did an amazing job. Even the main and side stands were done over and everything looks brand new again  :thumleft:. I had him do a few service items as well and will for sure use him for any work on my bike going forward. That is if I keep the bike...

I ran out of talent on a gravel road outside Hermanus this weekend. Where in in the Western Cape (Northern Suburbs) can I take the bike for a quote? The damage is mostly cosmetic. The bike is a 2008 model and only insured for R50,000. The bike was spotless...until now...

I've had to remove E07's twice on my 800. The side stand works... I'm looking at doing the Sikaflex mod on the spokes to go tubeless. There are some posts on the and it seems to work well... The thread below helped me quite a bit with my 1st attempt...
