I drove north on Carl Cronje around 19:40 last night, and before and under the the N1 bridge crossing Carl Cronje there were about 50+ bikers parked at the side of the road and under the bridge, with traffic police all over and cars backed up. Any idea what that was about?

When my dad did his 1st ever learners license at 71 he was also the oldest there by far - got the highest mark in the group and the instructor said to everyone " Now tháts how you do it!". 😄 He is due to go and get his proper license soon, and contemplating doing a solo ride from CT to Empangeni...

I love it 😍 That sound is why I have thought for so long that I should do the financially sensible thing and sell my 950, but find myself unable to 😈 And I find it incredible how they manage to ride like that without the high fender mod - got the idea that the std low fender hampered the bike...

Hmmm, your tyre pressure interests me - what would you have it at the rear if you were going for a camping weekend (25kg gear, and I weigh 84kg without gear) - 150-200km tar run vs the 800km gravel, some of it a little rocky? Maybe 240 rear on the tar and drop it to 180, or just 180 or less...

I've ridden a mate's GS1200 for a weekend, mostly on tar - it is a comfortable, high quality bike that corners well (on tar anyway), accelerates quickly without it feeling so and eats miles without you knowing it. It gets you places efficiently My 950 though, is a beast that makes me feel like...
